You are not a monster at all! It is just that Dean's crying face has two settings. The first instills pity and wanting to give him cookies, which he uses on Sam occasionally for said cookies and maybe pie. The second setting is the one that makes fangirls pat him on the head with an affectionate 'oh Dean' while secretly harboring a happy gleam in their eye. Clearly, the second one has been winning out most times.
