They even had their two big relationship fights before Dean caught on. You'd think he'd have noticed, but apparently not so much. Clearly the way to get Dean into a relationship is to let him accidentally sneak you into one.
Wrt Sam, I imagine it going something like this: Sam: An angel, really? Dean: Shut up, you're half-dating a demon. Sam: Shhh, we don't talk about Ruby within Dad's hearing anymore. John: Are you talking about one of the worst decisions of your life again? >:|
