This is fantastic. You've got two separate character studies in here, and how these two characters differ so greatly that culture clash does not even begin to explain it. The common ground between them is so narrow that it may or may not be enough to keep them intertwined at all. It's a somewhat hurty fic but it makes me feel weirdly happy regardless. \o/
